Contract: Fixed Term  6 Months
Salary: Grade 3 (£18,795 – £19,171)
Hours: Full Time – 37 Hours per week
Work Pattern: Flexi Time

An opportunity has arisen within our Project Team section for a Project Support Assistant, based at our Headquarters in Sheffield.

The overall purpose of the role will be to assist various Project Managers with the preparation of project documentation and monitoring the progress of their projects; you will identify any issues and problems associated with your assigned projects and provide advice and guidance where required.

To be considered for this role you will have had previous experience in a project support role, administration work and in providing an excellent support service.

Whilst having the ability to plan, prioritise and organise to meet deadlines you must be able to communicate effectively at all levels, have excellent written and communication skills, good interpersonal skills and proven ability in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.

The key duties will include arranging project meetings on behalf of project managers, taking minutes of meetings and updating project documentation such as action logs and risk registers. You will work closely with project managers to assist with all aspects of the South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue project management methodology.

You will be educated to GCSE level, grade C or above (or equivalent) in relevant subject areas it would be desirable to have a qualification in project management.
