An opportunity has arisen within our Financial Services section for a Payments & Revenues Officer based at Command Headquarters in Sheffield.

 

The overall purpose of the role is to be responsible for the day to day operational management, control and processing of all matters relating to purchase ledger, sales ledger and cash management within the financial system. Working with the Financial Systems Manager on developing the system and in particular creating target and performance indicators and compliance reports as required.  The role also encompasses the maintenance and processing of all staff related expense claims and allowances in line with SYFR policies and the administration of all Purchasing and Pre-paid Credit Cards held by the brigade.

 

To be considered for this role you will have proven experience of using an integrated financial management system to perform purchase ledger, sales ledger and cash management functions with experience of cash handling and banking.

 

Excellent communication skills are needed in order to be able to deal with queries both internally and externally within the department. The ability to be able to work independently, prioritising workloads to meet the various deadlines are important to the role as is being able to find and establish new ways of working and being able to adapt to change.
